Lines on Forehead

Our forehead unfortunately can become quite wrinkled as we get older, and this can really age our appearance. Most patients who have come to us feeling self-conscious about this condition comment that they feel they always look tired or worried.

What are Forehead Lines?

Forehead lines, or forehead wrinkles are horizontal creases that can be seen on your forehead and are most commonly a sign of aging.

Why do I have lines on my Forehead?

Simply put, forehead lines are formed over many years of us repeating the same facial expressions over and over. As we get older, this repeated movement starts to have an effect on our skin due to it having less elasticity and therefore creates permanent lines on our forehead.

There are other factors that can make this worse, such as stress, smoking and excessive sun exposure.

How do I fix lines on my Forehead?

These horizontal lines across the forehead can make you look older and more ‘stressed’, if you feel like your forehead lines are taking away your confidence, the good news is they can certainly be fixed. They can be reduced or removed using Botox® to give you a fresh, youthful look.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you get rid of Forehead Lines without surgery?

Botox® (Botulinum Toxin) is an effective, non-surgical way to smooth out wrinkles and fine lines, in this case – your forehead lines. The treatment works by temporarily reducing the activity of muscles in your forehead, smoothing out the area and creating a more youthful look.

How do I know if I need treatment for my Forehead Lines?

If you feel self-conscious about any fine lines on your forehead, or if friends and family often tell you that you look ‘stressed’ or ‘worried all the time’ then this could be the perfect treatment for you.

Can Botox® remove Forehead lines?

Yes, in effect Botox® can temporarily remove your forehead lines, smoothing and tightening the skin in that area. Keep in mind that it will gradually ware off over time, so if you want to keep your forehead lines at bay consistently then you’ll need to come and get it topped up every so often.

So, how long does Botox® last for Forehead lines?

Depending on how your skin’s individual genetic make-up reacts with the Botox® - it can last anywhere between 3 and 6 months, so as soon as you feel like you could do with a top up just give us a call.

What else do I need to know?

An average appointment for this treatment usually lasts around 30 minutes and you will start to see results in a week, and then optimal results can usually be seen in 2 weeks from the day of the treatment. Also, it’s worth noting that forehead wrinkle treatment is generally pain-free, although of course there is an option for a numbing cream to be used on the area if you want it. Side effects of bruising, swelling and bleeding tends to be very rare.
