The Definitive Profhilo Skin Treatment Guide to an Ageless Face

Do you wish you had ageless skin? Do you feel you have more wrinkles than you'd like to walk around in?

Profhilo is a new, innovative skin treatment that smooths dull, ageing skin. This non-surgical procedure treats skin that lacks elasticity and volume.

Since it's such a new procedure, it can be difficult to discern if it's any better than other available treatments. Learn the facts below to determine if your skin will benefit a trip to your doctor soon.

About Profhilo

The Profhilo treatment aims to address the signs of ageing skin. As we age, our skin becomes less elastic. We develop facial lines and wrinkles. Even skin tone and texture changes.

This is because our skin makes less collagen and elastin, the building blocks of healthy skin. Profhilo is made of hyaluronic acid and when used, stimulates the production of both of these. Currently, it's the only product that can stimulate natural collagen and elastin production.

With the treatment, your skin can look smoother, younger, and healthier in as little as two visits.

What Can Profhilo Help With?

Profhilo can address ageing skin on the face, neck, upper arms, and hands. Both men and women over the age of 30 can benefit when addressing the following concerns:

  • The need for facial rejuvenation
  • Facial sagging
  • Sagging neck skin
  • Crepey texture on the neck skin
  • Hand rejuvenation
  • Skin rehydration
  • Restoring radiance
  • Improving skin tone and texture
  • Tighten and lift skin
  • Increasing skin firmness and elasticity

If you're noticing the appearance or increasing effects of any of the conditions above, you may want to look into Profhilo.

How Does Profhilo Work?

Profhilo gives you a boost of hydration from right within your skin. It's not a filler and doesn't add synthetic volume.

During treatment, your doctor will inject the Profhilo in key points on your skin. The hyaluronic acid stays in your system for about 28 days. During that time, it works hard to stimulate four different types of collagen and elastics.

Profhilo does work in stages, so you'll need at least a couple of treatments. However, after two visits, you'll see younger, smoother skin.

How is Profhilo Different from Dermal Fillers?

Dermal filler is a volumising treatment made to enhance specific facial features. You can use dermal fillers to single out your lips, cheeks, or chin.

Profhilo is an overall hydrating treatment. It's injected and dispersed evenly throughout your face. This way, it gives the skin on your entire face a rejuvenated look.

What Can I Expect?

Before your treatment, you will have a consultation with your doctor to decide if it's right for you. They'll go over the details and what to expect during procedure day.

On the day of your treatment, your doctor will apply a numbing cream on the area for your comfort. Your doctor will then inject the first 2ml of Profhilo at 5 injection points for each side of your face.

This is a technique that addresses key facial points. The idea is that it will reduce the number of injection points for the best overall effect.

Are There any Pre-Treatment Tips?

Please refrain from drinking any alcohol 24 hours before your treatment. Your doctor will provide numbing cream, so you should avoid any aspirin or anti-inflammatory drugs. This will help reduce the possibility of bruising. Please ask your doctor if you have any questions.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Most people will need 2 treatments, injecting 2ml at each visit. There may be cases where the signs of ageing skin is extreme. In these instances, you may need up to 4 treatments or a combination of Profhilo and other techniques.

How Long Do The Results Last?

You will see immediate results after the treatment. Your skin will have more elasticity. It will appear firmer. The overall quality will feel better and younger

After the treatment, you should expect the results to last about six months. Of course, taking care of your skin after the procedure will help it last as long as possible. Results will differ from person to person.

Are There Any Side Effects to Treatment?

You may see some redness where the Profhilo is injected right after treatment. You may also feel a little tender or itchy in those areas. However, these side effects will usually disappear within 24 hours.

All side effects are associated with the needle, not the Profhilo itself.

Please call your doctor immediately if you have any of the following side effects:

  • Swelling that worsens over time
  • Severe, growing pain
  • Skin feeling hot and increasing redness
  • Injection sites looking pale, white, or grey a day or more after treatment
  • Feeling generally unwell days after your treatment

Any of these side effects should be addressed immediately to prevent any further damage.

What is the Aftercare Like?

Since Profhilo is a noninvasive procedure, you can typically go about your daily activities right after treatment.

There may not be any special aftercare gel or cream, but there are a few things to stay away from.

  • Please do not wear any makeup until your skin is fully healed.
  • On the same day as treatment, please avoid the gym, sauna, steam room, and pool.
  • Please refrain from touching the injection sites.

Following the steps above will provide you with the best possible results.

A Good Treatment to Consider?

Our skin ages with the rest of our body. Typically, around 30 years old, we start to see those tell-tale signs: wrinkles, dry, sagging skin.

But we don't have to live with those uncomfortable signs if we don't want to. Profhilo is a safe, non-invasive treatment great for anyone over the age of 30. It plumps up your skin by stimulating what our body makes naturally. The results are instant and side effects are minimal.

If you feel your skin could use a little more elasticity, ask your doctor about Profhilo today. Contact us today for more information on Profhilo and to book a consultation.
