Our patients commonly complain of having sunken eyes, hollowing under eyes, bags under the eyes and grooves under the eyes. Our patients usually describe themselves as having puffy eyes, sagging under-eyes, dark circles under the eyes and wrinkles under the eyes. The area under the eye can make you appear to have dark under eyes, swollen eyes, or even hollow eyes.
A lot of our female clients have complained of their concealer creasing under the eye which leads to unflattering horizontal lines under the eyes.
At Dr Aesthetica we only use established and FDA approved brands of dermal filler. The cost varies on the amount of filler used. The treatment options are discussed with you before any treatment is carried out.
Treatment completed by Consultant Doctor using microcannula technique for safety, less downtime and optimal results.
Some patients have deep tear troughs and may need more than 0.5ml on each side. Please note that we do not put more than 0.5ml each side as it can lead to swollen eye bags. We therefore recommend returning 2 weeks later to further top up the tear trough area.
At Dr Aesthetica we use a micro cannula to feed the filler to correct area. The advantage of this being only 1 entry point minimising the risk of bruising or injury. Micro cannulas are also a safer and more comfortable procedure. Micro cannulas are different to needles in that they are soft plastic tube with no sharp point, which therefore makes it safe to use in sensitive areas such as around the eyes. Topical numbing cream can also be used to help reduce the discomfort.
Tear trough fillers are a cosmetic treatment, and therefore as with all procedures it carries a risk that something could go wrong. This is a safe procedure when performed by experienced and qualified Doctor as it would be at Dr Aesthetica.
When you are seen at Dr Aesthetica, a full medical is undertaken, along with professional before and after photos. All patients are booked for a follow up appointment. Should the unexpected happen we are able to prescribe appropriate treatments and reversal agents if required.Someone might seek treatment for their tear troughs if they are unhappy about the loss of fat around the eyes and increased darkness of skin. This can lead to a sunken look which can make you look worn out. Candidates will often hear from friends and family about how tired they are looking, even if they are feeling well rested.
You can expect the procedure to last around 30 mins. At Dr Aesthetica we complete a full medical on all patients, alongside taking before and after photos. We also use numbing creams to help make it more comfortable.
We advise that tear trough fillers last around 9-12 months on average. When results fade, as they will with time, treatment can be repeated.
You should avoid massaging the area for up to days while the filler is still soft. This will prevent any movement of the filler and will keep the finished result looking perfect.
At Dr Aesthetica, we complete tear trough filler with microcannula. We use a variety of Dermal fillers. We charge £350 for treatment of both eyes with Dr Farmah
